Notice is hereby given that the Mercer County Park Commission will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 5:30 pm, at the Mercer County Stables, 431-B Federal City Road, Pennington, NJ 08534. The Commission reserves the right to make additions or alterations to the agenda, and/or enter into Executive Session, pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act. The work is ongoing and road closures this week will include periods of closure for Broemel Pl, E Delaware Ave (CR 624), & W Delaware Ave in Pennington Boro and for Blackwell Rd (CR 546) & Pennington-Titusville Rd in Hopewell Twp.
October 3, 2025:
State Route 133 (Hightstown Bypass) in East Windsor Township will be closed between 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM from Monday, October 6 through Friday, October 10 and from Wednesday, October 15 through Friday, October 17. Please follow all posted detours.
September 22, 2025:
Sam Weinroth Road (CR 600) in Ewing will be closed for resurfacing from Terminal Circle Drive to Scotch Rd (CR 611) from Monday, Sept. 22 through approximately Friday, Oct. 3. Closures will only occur on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM, and the road will remain open at all other times.

PSE&G Gas will be conduct roadwork on Yardville-Allentown Rd (CR 524) overnight on the evening of September 8, 2025 and morning of September 9, 2025. The road will be closed between the five-way intersection with Church St (CR 609), S Broad St (CR 524 & 672), and Yardville-Hamilton Sq Rd and the Route 130 overpass. Please follow all posted detours.

August 1, 2025:
East State Street is scheduled to be closed and detoured beginning tomorrow
between Route 1 and East Canal Street for railroad crossing repairs in Trenton, Mercer
County.
Beginning at 7 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, August 2, until 7 a.m. Sunday, August 3, East
State Street will be closed in both directions from Route 1 to East Canal Street to repair the railroad crossing and approaches. The following detours will be in place:
East State Street eastbound Detour:
- Motorists on East State Street eastbound will be directed to turn left onto North Stockton Street
- Turn right onto Perry Street
- Turn right onto Carroll Street, back to East State Street
East State Street westbound Detour:
- Motorists on East State Street westbound will be directed to turn right onto Ewing Street
- Turn left onto Perry Street
- Turn left onto North Stockton Street, back to East State Street
In order to provide safer and smoother railroad crossing, the existing crossing will be
replaced with new concrete crossings and asphalt approaches. This federally funded project is included within NJDOT’s railroad grade-crossing safety program which repairs, upgrades, or removes approximately 50 crossings each year, statewide.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information.

Pursuant to an announcement by Dan Benson, Mercer County Executive, notice is hereby given that on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., the Mercer County Department of Human Services, TRADE Transportation Division, will hold a Public Hearing accepting input concerning 2026 Applications to New Jersey Transit. The Applications and Hearing are for funding under the Senior Citizen and Disabled Resident Transportation Assistance Program (SCDRTAP), the FTA Section 5311 Non-Urban Rural Transit Program and the FTA Section 5310 Operating Program. The public is invited to the hearing below, at which time and place all interested parties will be given a full opportunity to be heard. To assure that all members of the public are given an opportunity to be heard, initial presentations will be limited to five (5) minutes. Any interested party who has a social/economic/environmental interest is invited to provide comments.
The Public Hearing will be at Mercer County Connection at 957 State Hwy 33, Hamilton, NJ 08690, as well as virtually. The Application will also be available for review for two weeks following the public hearing at the Lawrence Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ.

July 22, 2025:
The Route 29 northbound tunnel in Trenton is scheduled to be closed and detoured overnight on July 22, for mandatory biannual structural inspection and maintenance. In addition, the Route 29 southbound tunnel is scheduled to be closed and detoured overnight on July 23.
Beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, July 22, until 5 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, July 23, the Route 29 northbound tunnel will be closed and detoured between the tunnel entrance and Cass Street. The ramp from Route 29 northbound to South Lamberton Road/Duck Island will remain open overnight. Motorists traveling northbound on I-195 northbound, which becomes Route 29 northbound, will be directed to exit at Route 129 northbound/Trenton and turn left onto Cass Street to access Route 29 northbound.
At 9 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, July 23 until 5 a.m. Thursday, July 24, the
Route 29 southbound tunnel will be closed and detoured between Cass Street and the tunnel exit. The U-turn ramp to Lalor Street will also be closed overnight. Motorists traveling southbound on Route 29 will be directed to exit at Market Street/Route 129/Route 33/Route 1, which is before the tunnel, and take Route 129 southbound to Route 29 southbound. Motorists can also turn left onto Cass Street and take Route 129 southbound to Route 29 southbound.

Perry Street Closed for Railroad Crossing Repairs Beginning tomorrow in Trenton
Detours necessary during construction
Perry Street is scheduled to be closed and detoured beginning tomorrow between Route 1 and Carroll Street for railroad crossing repairs in Trenton, Mercer County.
Beginning at 7 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, July 22, until 7 a.m. Friday, July 25, East State Street will be closed in both directions from Route 1 to Carroll Street to repair the railroad crossing and approaches. The following detours will be in place:
Perry Street eastbound Detour:
- Motorists on Perry Street eastbound will be directed to turn right onto North Stockton Street
- Turn left onto East State Street
- Turn left onto North Clinton Avenue, back to Perry Street
Perry Street westbound Detour:
- Motorists on Lincoln Avenue wishing to continue on Perry Street westbound will be directed to turn left onto North Clinton Avenue
- Turn right onto East State Street
- Turn right onto North Stockton Street, back to Perry Street
