South Broad Street Streetscape Improvements
Mercer County's Administration Building and Cure Arena are important activity centers on South Broad Street in the City of Trenton. In service to the City, which owns South Broad Street, and expressing the County's desire for place-based improvements to attract economic development and enhance safety for all road users, Mercer County is investing in design of multimodal improvements to South Broad Street from Centre Street to Cass Street, past the Arena and the Administration Building.
In partnership with the City and the Mercer County Improvement Authority, the project is intended to improve circulation with traffic signal upgrades and, where feasible, add off-street bicycle facilities. Design is underway to implement a conceptual plan presented to Trenton, County, and State officials on September 24, 2025, linked below.
Project updates will be posted on this site.
