The Mercer County Planning Department provides for the development of the County in a comprehensive and controlled manner using various strategies relating to land use and development.

The Mercer County Growth Management Plan, along with its various sub elements, provides a framework for orderly growth which protects quality of life through the timely provision of infrastructure, preservation of open space and farmland, and transportation planning.
