SCAM ALERT:
It has come to our attention that scammers are creating and sending phony invoices to applicants in a Municipal or County name, demanding payment of substantial fees via wire transfer in order to have their planning board applications heard. These requests often state that all communications regarding same should be done through the email address provided, spoofing the Municipal or County domain name.
Many of these scams are AI-generated and becoming more sophisticated. PLEASE NOTE THAT MERCER COUNTY DOES NOT REQUEST WIRE TRANSFERS FOR ANY PLANNING BOARD RELATED MATTERS AND DOES NOT ISSUE INVOICES FOR PLANNING BOARD APPLICATIONS. MERCER COUNTY ONLY ACCEPTS PHYSICAL CHECKS FOR PAYMENTS RELATED TO PLANNING BOARD MATTERS. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT PAYMENTS, PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE AND SPEAK TO OUR STAFF TO VERIFY 609-989-6545

Mercer County Planning Board meetings will now be hybrid (virtual and in-person) and will also now be held at the Extension Services Building, 1440 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ 08638. Meetings will occur on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. beginning November 13, 2024.
Planning Board meetings are primarily conducted in person. While the County offers a hybrid option as a courtesy to applicants and the public, its availability and stability cannot be guaranteed. Please be aware that technical difficulties with the hybrid system may arise unexpectedly.
