Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs Request for Proposals for Emergency Shelter Beds for LGBTQIA+ Youth 2026-2027 Addendum

The Mercer County Department of Human Services, Division of LGBTQIA+, is accepting proposals for Emergency Shelter Bed Services for LGBTQIA+ Youth for the period of September 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027, with two (2) one-year options to extend, in the total amount of $69,334.00. 

The proposed Emergency Shelter Bed Services for Mercer County's LGBTQIA+ Youth program seeks to establish a permanent, year-round emergency shelter bed exclusively for Mercer County residents who identify as LGBTQIA+ youth and are experiencing sudden homelessness, family rejection, or unsafe living conditions. This dedicated placement shall provide rapid access to safety, emergency shelter, and stabilizing support at the precise moment it is needed most, ensuring a structured, consistent, and affirming response rather than relying on fragmented or delayed placement options.
