Office of Food Security Request for Proposals for Redirecting Surplus Food 2026 

Mercer County Office of Food Security seeks to fund one eligible nonprofit organization to implement a Food Recovery Information, Engagement, and Capacity Building Program aimed at reducing food insecurity among low and moderate income households and disproportionately impacted communities. The selected organization will deploy a multi-channel outreach strategy, which may include social media, print materials, radio, outdoor advertising, in-person engagements and presentations, and webinars, to increase participation in food recovery initiatives and expand public awareness of available local food recovery resources. Through this grant program, up to $50,000.00 in total funding will be awarded to one eligible agency for the contract period of August 1, 2026, through November 30, 2026.
