Trenton - Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders Chair, Samuel Frisby recently announced that the Freeholder Board will be traveling to the Borough of Hopewell to hold their June 25 formal meeting. The meeting will take place at the Borough of Hopewell Municipal Building, 88 East Broad Street at 6:00 PM.
In an effort to increase awareness, participation, and transparency in Mercer County government, the Freeholders have made it a tradition to hold formal meetings at various locations throughout Mercer County.
"Not everyone is able to make it to Trenton for our meetings," said Chairman Frisby. "By taking our meetings on the road we hope to make county government as accessible to our residents as possible".
In addition to the formal business of the County, the Freeholders will vote on a resolution that would allow West Windsor Township to install a sidewalk to improve pedestrian access along Cranbury Road.
The Freeholder Board normally meets at the Joyce McDade Administration Building located at 640 South Broad Street in Trenton. For more information on the Freeholder Board and future meeting dates please visit http://nj.gov/counties/mercer/officials/freeholders/.
