Colavita Honored by Robinson Elementary School
Freeholder recognized for his continued support of Aerospace programs
Hamilton - Mercer County Freeholder Pasquale "Pat" Colavita, Jr. was honored at Robinson Elementary School's 41st Annual Rocket Day. Freeholder Colavita received numerous awards from local officials while also being named an honorary Young Astronaut by the students of Robinson Elementary.
Adopted by Jerry Iacona in 1974, Rocket Day has become an annual tradition at Hamilton's Robinson Elementary School. Jun Each school year 4th grade students at the school take part in a yearlong Aerospace program, which is culminated by Rocket Day where each student launches a hand crafted rocket.
"It is truly humbling to be named this year's honoree. I would like to thank Mr. Iacona and all the students of Robinson Elementary School who made this day so special," Rocket Day is one of my favorite events each year, I am continually blown away by these students commitment to this program.
