Cimino Honors Mercer County Teacher of the Year

Hamilton – On Tuesday June 21, Mercer County Freeholder John A. Cimino presented 2016 NJEA Mercer County Teacher of the Year William J. Leonardo II with a sealed resolution honoring his dedication and service to Hamilton Township and Mercer County.

Mr. Leonardo who resides in Hamilton Township has served the Hamilton Township school system since 2009 and currently teaches Fifth grade at Sayen Elementary School.

“In his young career Mr. Leonardo has already left a lasting mark on his students, which surely will resonate throughout our community for years to come,” said Freeholder John Cimino. “I commend Mr. Leonardo on this honor and wish him continued success.”

In 2011, Mr. Leonardo initiated the Hurricane Sandy Book drive, which donated over 3,000 books to various coastal schools affected by Hurricane Sandy.
