 HOW TO SUBMIT DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

To facilitate Mercer County Planning Board action during the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Mercer County Planning Board has created a process to receive, review and act upon subdivision and site plan applications.  You must continue to submit signed, sealed PAPER COPIES of your application and required reports, along with application fees, to the Planning Department BY POSTAL MAIL ONLY.  In person deliveries will not be accepted.  The modified submission requirements are found below.  Submit required documentation to jbenner@mercercounty.org.

We do not expect paper applications to be reviewed in a timely fashion.  If you wish to have your application reviewed and deemed complete to be placed on an upcoming agenda, please submit the documents below IN A PDF FORMAT ONLY, MINIMIZED FOR SIZE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLESubmit only those sheets requested below which depict the required information.  Planning Department staff reserves the right to request additional information. 

Applications materials must be received two weeks prior to a regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting date.  ELECTRONIC APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF THE SIGNED APPLICATION FORM.  Planning Board schedule: http://www.mercercounty.org/departments/planning/planning-board

Minor Subdivision

Overall map of Subdivision depicting driveways, street and other access locations

Major* Subdivision

Overall map of Subdivision depicting lots, driveways, street access;

Map depicting existing and proposed rights of way;

Traffic Impact Report or Traffic Impact Statement (narrative and tables only);

Drainage report or letter from a NJ licensed Engineer describing reasons for waiver of requirement;

Storm water report narrative and drainage maps;

Plan entitled “Survey” showing existing conditions

Site Plan not on a County Road and less than ¼ acre of new impervious cover

Overall Site Plan map;

Statement indicating site will generate less than ¼ acre of new impervious surface;

Plan entitled “Survey” showing existing conditions

Site Plan*not on a County Road and greater than ¼ acre of new impervious cover

Overall Site Plan map;

Overall map of Site Plan depicting driveways, street access;
