Mercer County’s hiring process is governed by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission. For information regarding this process, please visit the New Jersey Civil Service Commission website.

Applications for Employment are kept on file for six (6) months at a time. If a department expresses the need to hire, applications for the candidates who meet the job requirements will be forwarded to that department. Candidates who meet the job requirements will be contacted directly by a representative from that office.
