There is an ongoing need for Mercer County residents to apply for positions on boards and commissions that are of interest to them. Each board or commission has an issue, policy and/or program focus.

The County Executive encourages citizen involvement and expertise to assist County government in serving the community. The County of Mercer relies on boards and commissions to advise County government on a wide range of issues, or to serve as the governing body for a particular County entity.

The County Executive appoints Mercer County residents to serve on boards and commissions on a volunteer basis with the advice and consent of the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Exceptions include the Mercer County Board of Elections and the Mercer County Board of Taxation, which are state-appointed positions.

A list of Mercer County boards and commissions can be found in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of this page. Click on the name of any board or commission to view a description of the group, member roster, current vacancies and a link to an application form.
