Freeholders Approve over $350,000 in Spending for Human Service’s Programs and Care
On Thursday, Dec. 5, the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders unanimously approved a series of resolutions totaling more than $350,000 which will go toward human services programs and care that will benefit Mercer County residents.
The approved funds go directly to various community-based organizations, including Catholic Charities Dioceses of Trenton, Homefront Inc., and the Rescue Mission of Trenton. Some of the services being provided under these contracts are social security income and social security disability income outreach, access and recovery, addiction and outpatient services, case management, and residential services.
“As a board, we are proud and continually impressed with the work our Mercer County Department of Human Services does for the community,” said Freeholder Chairman John A. Cimino. “These programs that received funding tonight help enhance the quality of life of all Mercer County residents, not just those who are using the programs."
