Mercer County is now operating an appointment-only, drive-up testing site for COVID-19 at Quaker Bridge Mall in Lawrence. Your doctor must fax your prescription to the site's appointment makers. Those who show up and who do not have an appointment will not be able to be tested. If you are symptomatic and need testing you must contact your doctor who will fax a prescription to the test site. The fax number is: (609) 630-4031.

County of Mercer: what's open/closed on Columbus Day

TRENTON—Most Mercer County government offices and facilities will be closed Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, in observance of Columbus Day.

The following County offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 14, and will reopen for business Tuesday, Oct. 15: McDade Administration Building, 640 South Broad St.; Criminal Courthouse, 400 South Warren St.; Office of the County Clerk, 209 S. Broad St.; Civil Courthouse and Office of the County Surrogate, 175 South Broad St.; Board of Social Services, 200 Woolverton St.; One-Stop Career Center, 26 Yard Ave.; Cooperative Extension of Mercer County and Veteran Services, 1440 Parkside Ave., Ewing; Mercer County Connection, Route 33 at Paxson Avenue, Hamilton; and all branches of the Mercer County Library System.

The following County facilities will remain open: Trenton-Mercer Airport (except administrative offices), Correction Center, Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Services Communications Center.

The following Mercer County Park Commission facilities will be open Oct. 14: Tennis Center, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; all four County golf courses, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Mercer Stables, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Wildlife Center, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tulpehaking Nature Center, Howell Living History Farm, including the Corn Maze, and Park Commission administrative offices will be closed Oct. 14.
