One-Stop Career Center reschedules Career Exploration Fair for April 4
Mercer County is committed to expanding employment opportunities to all our communities. The Mercer County One-Stop Career Center serves to assist our residents in making informed career choices and to help prepare people for the workforce. To that end, the One-Stop Career Center is sponsoring a Career Exploration Fair on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the CURE Insurance Arena (formerly Sun National Bank Center). This event was previously scheduled for March 7.
The purpose of the Career Fair is to promote awareness of some of the fastest-growing careers in Advanced Manufacturing, Building Trades and High-Tech. Employers and Building Trades Union representatives will be on hand to provide information on job opportunities, starting wages, career pathways and apprenticeship opportunities. Mercer County Community College representatives will offer information on new and innovative programs including the Drone Academy, Domain Academy (IT), Cyber Security, and Advanced Manufacturing certificate and degree programs.
