Tulpehaking Nature Center holding ‘Valentines for Nature’ event
HAMILTON, N.J. — The Tulpehaking Nature Center will celebrate families and wildlife at its “Valentines for Nature” event throughout the month of February. Open hours are Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m.
Parents and kids can get a head start on their valentine-making and enjoy a variety of activities. Everyone in the family is invited, including favorite stuffed animals. Create a nature-themed valentine for that special someone, and help our furred and feathered friends feel loved by making an edible “valentine for nature” to hang on a tree outside the nature center.
Share the love with the animal ambassadors who live at the nature center by creating valentines to decorate their exhibits. Visitors will also have the chance to meet “Turbo,” the nature center’s new box turtle, and feed the baby crayfish. Become inspired to create something new using repurposed materials at the nature center’s Creation Station, or let your imagination run wild in the Children’s Corner and Puppet Theater with a favorite stuffed animal.
The Tulpehaking Nature Center is located at 157 Westcott Ave. in Hamilton. Off-street parking is available in front of the Watson House with easy access to the nature center's main entrance on the side of the building opposite the gazebo. Please call (609) 888-3218 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more event information.
The Tulpehaking Nature Center provides programs and exhibits that encourage visitors to explore and discover the many cultural, historic and natural resources of the Abbott Marshlands. It is owned by the County of Mercer and operated by the Mercer County Park Commission. For more information about the nature center, programs and schedule of events, go to www.mercercountyparks.org.
